At St Andrew's Academy, the safety and well-being of our students are of utmost importance. We are committed to creating a safe and secure environment where every child can learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding is the process of protecting children from abuse, neglect, and harm. It involves creating an environment where children feel safe, valued, and respected.

Our Commitment

  • Trained Staff: Our staff undergoes regular training on safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure they are equipped to recognize signs of abuse or neglect and know how to respond appropriately.

  • Policies and Procedures: We have robust safeguarding policies and procedures in place, which are regularly reviewed and updated in accordance with local laws and best practices.

  • Supportive Environment: We strive to create an environment where students feel comfortable reporting any concerns they may have, knowing they will be listened to and supported.

During school holidays, the safety and well-being of our students remain paramount. In case of any immediate risk of harm or urgent safeguarding concerns, parents are urged to contact our safeguarding email address promptly. In emergency situations, where immediate intervention is required, contacting local social care or the police is advised to ensure swift and appropriate action to safeguard the child's welfare. We emphasise the importance of a collaborative approach to maintaining a secure and protective environment for our students during both term-time and holidays.
