Hello Everyone! 

It's National Relationships week and this years focus is LOVEheart, so we have made 2 tasks for you to try, a family shield and a tree, you can include whoever you LOVE in these tasks and if you want to share what you create that would be amazing!

It been a tough time for families and the LOVE has kept us going, I am sure you will agree.

Jess has also added a Pound session for you to do over half term a bit further down the page, as we know lots of you love these sessions and it makes you feel really positive and happy. Have a lovely half term and we look forward to seeing some photos of you pounding away!

This is a wonderful activity you can do together as a family. The idea is that you make a box, decorate it and fill it with things that make you feel happy, good inside and can help to calm you.

 It can be used as a tool to help regulate emotion at this tricky time and anyone in the family can make one. I made one with my stepson and he absolutely loved the activity.

Making our Happiness Boxes!

I put fruity tea bags in my box as I love the smell, paints as I find this a very calming activity, photos, hand cream, a sensory bottle, a book and a packet of crisps; because they are my favourite! 

My stepson put a toy car, some lego, a colouring book and some pens, some pokemon toys, photos and one of his dads scarves. :) 

POUND with Jess

Exercise is a great way to look after your body and mind. POUND is so much fun for students and adults and can be done as a family. Usually we use bright green RIPSTIX however the video below uses just hands instead. If you wanted you could get creative and make some sticks using kitchen utensils or sticks from the garden. 

All you need: comfortable clothing, mat or something to sit on and trainers or bare feet. 

 Exercise your body and mind but most importantly....HAVE FUN!
