Skye Class

Welcome to Skye Class!

Skye Class Team (2020/21)

SUMMER TERM

Our theme for this term is 'The Olympics' and we're looking forward to lots of opportunities to be active, get outside and have some fun.  We're hoping that the sun will shine and that we can all enjoy a bit of normality.

Below is a planning overview explaining what students will be learning in the different subject areas.  We'll keep you posted with photos of the students busy at work!

Students experiencing Taiko drumming - a Japanese drumming experience

Having fun at the fair in Drama - rollercoaster rides and the coconut shy.

During this period of uncertainty it's possible that you may have to be at home.  Below are some work activities to keep you busy at home if you would like to do them.

SKYE CLASS

We are a small group of Year 10 and 11 students on the Autistic Spectrum who enjoy developing our awareness of the world around us through sensory exploration.  Our topic based learning provides lots of opportunities to engage and have fun in a wide range of learning experiences.  Through practical activities we work at developing our functional skills and particularly focus on using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) to develop our communication skills.
