Skye Class

Welcome to Skye Class!

Skye Class Staff

The Key Stage 3 topic for the term is 'Extreme Earth' and we'll be taking a 'Weather' focus by looking at different weather conditions and experience recreating them in class.  Students will be taking part in an immersive story about the weather and a rhythmic poem about a volcano that erupts, as well as learning practical skills such as how we should dress for different weather conditions. We're hoping for lots of sun this term so we're able to get outside and make the most of our newly revamped outdoor learning area.  To find more details of what we'll be covering in each subject this term please see the curriculum overview below.

About Skye Class

We are a group of Year 7 and 8 students who enjoy developing our awareness of the world around us through sensory exploration.  Our topic based learning provides lots of opportunities to engage and have fun in a wide range of learning experiences.  Through practical activities we work at developing our functional skills and particularly focus on developing our communication skills using a total communication approach.  Please see the suggestions on the attachment below as to how you can help support your young person's communication.
