During PSHE sessions this term, students are developing their knowledge and understanding of how to respond in an emergency. As part of this process students are taking part in a variety of simple first aid sessions to learn the basic skills required to treat an injury. During our previous session students were taught about the Recovery Position.


Find somebody at home who is happy to help by being a 'casualty'. Ask them to lie on the floor and then try to remember how to safely and correctly put them in the recovery position. You can click the link below to watch a recap video if you are unsure of how to do this.


Have a conversation with your casualty. Tell them why you might need to put someone in the recovery position. Have they ever done this before? Why would this help?
