MENCAP Virtual Challenge Week!

Mencap and Special Olympics GB's virtual challenge week is funded by Westfield Health and takes place Monday 25th - Friday 29th Jan 

It is a free online team competition whereby students can earn points for their team, with the hope they are the overall winning team  end of the week

There are chances to win sport related prizes including a chance to win equipment or specialist training for school. 

Everyone who takes part will get a certificate and some goodies! 

What do students have to do?

Players will get to choose between 4 levels of competition depending on ability, and the challenges are designed to ensure they are suitable for everyone with a learning disability to compete in.

Each day is given a different skills, the activities are planned so that they can be completed in any environment using any equipment e.g. throwing a ball of socks into a laundry basket or using a basketball and hoop at a court. 

Here is the timetable for the week. 

Monday: Movement

Tuesday: Throwing

Wednesday: Hitting

Thursday: Kicking

Friday: showcase and awards
