During our creative sessions, Shetland class have spent time researching different celebrations and observances throughout the year. These have been transferred accordingly onto our class timeline and we have spent Autumn term 1 focussing on our next, upcoming event, which was of course Halloween! Students used laptops/IPADS to explore an array of upcycling projects before choosing their favourite one for our very own Halloween creations, the 'fabric pumpkins'. This involved a multi-step process, which included papier-mache, painting, threading, glue-ing, cutting and fastening, in order to create their master pieces.
Students worked systematically, delicately and creatively - recognising the fragility of their pumpkins along the way. We were delighted with the outcome and we look forward to utilising our skills for our next creative project!
